...Oooor not. I don't think wet manes are the best for pulling/adjusting/whatever. Blue gets a break. Though, I may or may not see him tomorrow, as I will be embarking on a mission.
From the beginning! A month or so ago TRRC received a donation of a large, well-mannered quarter horse. ...Who...couldn't walk without tripping over himself, so we sent him back. A few days, maybe a week later, Helen, Sarah and I were hanging around talking about it, letting out some light frustrations. I shrugged my shoulders and mentioned an awesome-sounding horse I'd seen in the classifieds section of the Equiery. Clydesdale cross, 11-ish years old, 15.3 hands, training in pleasure and trails; light training in dressage. Ah, but the owners had slapped a price of $3500 on it, so I said it was a real shame, and laughed because I'd totally go out and look at it myself in a parallel life. ...And yet, a few minutes later Helen asked me to get her the info on it. ...Yeah. Cheap, cheap, Helen. You know it's true, Sarah, don't deny it! XD
...Sometimes...sometimes, she reminds me just a tiny bit of Mr. Krabbs from Spongebob Squarepants. XD Gah, don't share this! I just find it funny.
ANYWAY. I e-mailed her the ad that night, and apparently she made some calls...and now Linda is heading up to Pennsylvania to see this horse. She invited me, too! ...No clue how finances would be worked out if this thing is a gem. But...draft cross! DO WANT! Either that or a full draft, but those things are pretty much too ginormous for therapy use. ...Plus many of then have special farrier needs. ...But then, draft crosses are more prone to leg issues and just...GAH. WE WILL SEE.
We're meeting them at 1, and I'm meeting Linda at her place--which will take roughly an hour--so I think it may be best to head out there after class lets out.
...And yeah, I do feel kind of giddy about this, since...yeah. But I'll try to keep it low, since we're only giving it a look.
